Ryan and MacKenzie Witzke
Co-Lead Pastors
This special couple has been serving in multiple roles at Garden City First Assembly since March of 2019, when they moved back to Southwest Kansas. In November of 2024, they were elected to serve as the Lead Pastors of their favorite body of people. Ryan grew up at GCFA and remembers being 15 and the Lord asking him to stay and anoint the pews for the incredible work God was going to do for years to come. MacKenzie spent the larger part of her childhood in Ulysses, Kansas - receiving salvation at Oasis Church - and loves to minister in the stomping grounds of her youth.
Nate, Shelby, Idaline, Abigail and Desmond Maas
KidsFirst Pastors
This sweet and dedicated family has been with us as staff since February of 2022, but have called First Assembly their home since 2015/2016. Nate grew up in Holcomb, Kansas and now works at Sunflower Electric. Shelby lived many years of her life in Garden City and has always felt a call to Kids Ministry. Their three children, Desmond (far left), Idaline (middle), and Abigail (far right) go where mom and dad go, bringing joy and laughter in their wake. Shelby and Nate desire to see Kids fall in love with Jesus and serve Him with their whole lives.
Abner, Katie, and Eleanor Reyes
Worship Leaders
These passionate and faithful friends have been on staff with us since April of 2025, but have called First Assembly their home since 2018/2022. Abner grew up in Mexico and become an American citizen and a resident of Kansas in 2014. Katie grew up in east and central Kansas until she met and married Abner, bringing her to Garden City. Their sweet girl, Eleanor, brings joy to every room, loves music like her parents, and there is never a shortage of people who want to hang out with her during ministry. Katie and Abner desire to see a church growing in faith and the boldness of private and public worship.
